For and Against: Art, Politics and the Pamphlet
Urban Pamphleteer will take part in For and Against: Art, Politics and the Pamphlet, a two-day research and public ‘festival’ event in Loughborough town centre in May 2017.

Ben Campkin and Rebecca Ross (founders and editors of Urban Pamphleteer) will speak at the one-day symposium, which will include a range of speakers, performances and rants. The event runs 11.00am – 5.00pm and will be followed by the public opening of an exhibition from collections of historical and contemporary pamphlets For & Against! The Art of the Pamphlet at the Charnwood Museum, Loughborough.

This day-long event will include a range of public activity including live performative elements by artists commissioned by Radar (LU Arts), a 'market place' of stalls, exhibitions displaying collections of historical and contemporary pamphlets inside the library and museum, and lots of opportunities for participation.
